Dr. Michael Suit has earned the right to craft a collection of books titled “Finding James Herriot”. His 20-plus years as an equine veterinarian in northern Colorado have given him a barn-load of unique and noteworthy adventures with humans and animals alike.
A natural storyteller at heart, Michael collects his experiences like children collect shells at the ocean, each one a unique treasure, putting them on display, and framing them with love and humor.
Graduating from Arizona State University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Outdoor Recreation and Tourism, he worked on dude ranches from Arizona to Colorado before entering the veterinary program at CSU in Fort Collins, Colorado.
He and his beautiful wife, Kyla, keep very busy raising three incredibly talented children.
Michael was recently featured in an interview at Mountain Zen Den where he shared his love for people and animals, along with how he got started as a veterinarian. He also discussed the creation of Dr. Jason Davies and many of the colorful characters in his delightful books. Listen here!
